Brief & Context

This mixed use development on Porter Promenade at Mission Beach sought to maximise the development potential of the site at the edge of the medium density village.

It provides an active frontage to Porter Promenade, with four flexible shop frontages sheltered by a wide verandah, and two units over with balconies fronting the street. At the rear are another four units oriented to catch the sea breezes.

The buildings are designed in a modest tropical vernacular to suit the budget and the local Town Planning Scheme.
