1. “We will keep working at your sketch design until you are satisfied with the design”

A sketch design is conceptual in nature and not all details will be resolved, but you will be satisfied and excited with the design direction. If we are not able to satisfy you we will offer a limited refund. If we think that we will not be able to work together with you to a successful resolution, we will advise you at the earliest stage possible.

Your verbal agreement to continue at each stage of sketch design indicates your agreement with the developing design. If you later express your dissatisfaction we will refund back to the last agreed design concept.

2. “On budget or we will re-document at our expense”.

On projects without a cost estimator (houses for example), ‘on budget’ is defined as within 15% of agreed budget and may include design contingencies to help meet the budget, (eg: an extra balcony that can be removed). On projects with a cost estimator, ‘on budget’ is defined as within 5% of budget, and may also include design contingencies to meet the budget.

We will advise you if you make design decisions that will increase the budget. We will then ask you to sign off on your revised budget.

3. “Full compliance with all relevant Local, State and Federal Government regulations”.

Our buildings will always comply with the latest, up to date Government regulations and Australian Standards. We guarantee your building design will gain a Building Approval.

We will give you our best advice on how to ensure your building meets the requirements of your Local Government Planning Scheme, but cannot guarantee Development Approvals as this is out of our control.

4. ” No risk documentation quotes. We take on the risk of providing the quoted documents within our lump sum, rather than charging additional work at an hourly rate”.

In our documentation proposal we will provide a clear outline of our scope of work and deliverables. Our documents will achieve this without us asking for variations.

We reserve the right to negotiate additional fees if you change your mind about the design, or the scope of work, or if latent conditions that were not known at the time of the quote require additional work.

The Studio Mango guarantee does not apply to the input of sub-consultants engaged on your project.
